gabor vajta

Gábor Vajta is medical doctor, PhD in human pathology and Doctor of Sciences in embryology. He is professor of BGI Shenzhen, China and Central Queensland University, Rockhampton, Australia. He lives in Cairns, Queensland, Australia, but spends half of his time in China and other Asian, European, African and American countries. He is director of a consulting company (www.gaborvajta.com), providing services in human and domestic animal embryology all over the world. He is author of more than 160 publications (books, book chapters and papers in peer-reviewed journals, with approx. 8,500 citations). Main topics of his research include cryopreservation of embryos and oocytes (open pulled straw vitrification), somatic cell nuclear transfer (handmade cloning), and various aspects of mammalian embryo culture (well of the well, submarine incubation).
