Research interests: Neuroendocrinology of reproduction, GnRH analogs, physiology of natural twinning, reproductive ageing and PCOS.
Experience/Career: He is editorial board member of Twin Research, former associated editor for Human Reproduction, associated editor of the Journal of Human Reproduction, editorial consultant for the Lancet and member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the Endocrine Society, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the International Society on Twin Studies (ISTS) and chair of the Dutch Infertility Registry Foundation.
Dr Lambalk is a gynaecologist/fertility specialist with focus on reproductive endocrinology. As member of the staff of the division of Reproductive Medicine of the VU University Medical Center (VUmc) in Amsterdam From 1992 onwards he is interim head of research aside from regular patient care and teaching tasks. He did his PhD study on the relation between episodic GnRH stimulation and LH and FSH secretion and graduated Cum Laude in 1988.
He published over 100 papers and book chapters on subjects related to his research interests.
