Professor P.C. Ho graduated from the University of Hong Kong with Distinction in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and he was awarded the Gordon King Price in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He is currently the Chair Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Director of Centre of Reproduction, Development and Growth, and Associate Dean in Clinical Affairs in Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. He is in charge of the assisted reproduction program at the University of Hong Kong/Queen Mary Hospital Centre of Assisted Reproduction and Embryology. This is one of the largest assisted reproduction programs in Hong Kong. It has achieved the first live birth after intracytoplasmic sperm injection and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis in Hong Kong. His research interests include infertility, assisted reproduction, clinical applications of misoprostol, and fertility regulation including medical abortions.
He has published more than 350 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He has served in many national and international professional bodies. He has served as President of Hong Kong College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Chairman of Regional Council of International Federation of Planned and Chairman of the World Health Organization Research Group on Post-ovulatory Methods of Fertility Regulation among many other positions. He is currently the President of Asia-Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and President of Family Planning Association of Hong Kong.
