Results: Continuous Medical Education

As technology progresses, so does the way we share information. IVF-Worldwide is in contact with over 65,000 experts in the field, including gynecologists, embryologists and nurses. It is our top priority to make sure that you are receiving the information you want in the way that is most convenient for you.

IVF-Worldwide published a survey on the topic of Continuous Medical Education aimed at identifying the educational needs and preferences of the IVF community. Over 2,000 IVF professionals completed the survey and the results are summarized in this document.

Summary of results:

  • ~80% of the respondents prefer attending more intimate conferences (less than 200 people)
  • Over 80% would like to see lectures from industry symposia online
  • Only ~20% feel that visiting to the exhibition area at a conference adds to their medical education
  • ~70% spend only 1-2 hours in the exhibition area during the entire conference
  • Almost 70% receive at least half of their educational content electronically
  • Only about 20% visit pharmaceutical company websites more often than monthly to learn about their products or receive updates about advancements in the field
  • 99% are or maybe interested in joining a "Virtual University" on IVF-Worldwide for reproductive medicine education
