Should egg donors get paid?

Dear friends and colleagues,

The use of donor eggs has increased dramatically over the last decade. While for some patients it is the only way to conceive, many ethical issues arise. Compensation of egg donors may be acceptable in some settings and not others. In order to investigate the approach of different countries and fertility professionals surrounding payment for egg donation, we would be grateful if you could answer a few questions regarding your personal beliefs and practice, and the regulations that currently exist in your country.
